REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Our team secured a full dismissal of claims on behalf of two executives who were sued for trade secret misappropriation. Retained after the other side already had obtained a temporary restraining order against the executives, our team turned the tables by filing counterclaims and engaging in lengthy meet and confers with opposing counsel to prevent further injunctive action, ultimately netting the executives a favorable settlement.

  • Alto obtained complete victory for a director of a biotech company who was accused of misappropriating confidential business plans and other information following a management struggle. We aggressively pressed the plaintiff in discovery, resulting in a complete voluntary dismissal of all claims. Our client paid nothing to secure a dismissal and his fees were covered by insurance.

  • We represented one of three equal shareholders in a company in litigation to obtain damages associated with the defendants’ siphoning of trade secrets and other assets from the company. After the other two shareholders put the company into bankruptcy, we filed an adversary proceeding, ultimately resulting in a settlement for several hundred thousand dollars.

  • We were retained to defend an executive accused of stealing company hardware containing trade secrets after his alleged termination for cause. After weeks of negotiation, the matter was resolved without any adverse litigation against our client.
